I get asked all the time what do I do all day? Or how do I manage two under two while Dave is on his 48 hour shift.
Some days I just survive. I do all I can to get through each hour. Some days fly by and are over before I know it, and I have no clue what we did that day. For the most part, I try to follow this schedule that I’m sharing with you below.
I do really good about using a schedule while Dave is gone, of course if we have plans away from the house or are traveling this schedule does not exist.
I will also switch times around when needed. Example being, if at 10 am the kids want to nap instead of an outing, I will switch nap and outing time for that day.
Or if the weather is really great we might make play time outdoors an all day thing.
Here is how a typical day looks.
|6:00-8:00||Wake up, T.V. time, breakfast, play||Wake up, coffee, dishes away, email, Breakfast|
|8:00-9:00||Dressed, bible story, brush teeth, help with chores, Color, read or activity||Clean up breakfast, dressed, chores indoor or outdoor|
|9:00-10:00||T.V. OFF, Play, or stroller time||Get ready for day, pack for kids, or go for run.|
|10:00-11:30||Outings-library, outside adventure, Hike, park, pool, anything we choose||Outings, errands|
|12:00-2:00||Nap/Quite time||Lunch, nap, computer time, chores, whatever we need to do.|
|2:00-3:00||Snack, arts &craft/reading/interactive play/lesson of some sort||Interactive time|
|3:00-3:00||Free time||Free time|
