This last week of running was one where all my running stars were aligned. It was a week were I was feeling good, even with the lack of sleep that is still going on with the kiddos.
I was feeling stronger with every stride, energized after every run.
Some call it the runners high. That feel good feeling while running or after a run that leaves you feeling on top of the world, longing to get back out there. I felt it to its fullest this week, and I’m entering this week ahead with all the good feels.
It occurred to me on my run yesterday, that running is my salvation. I run to replenish my soul, I run to calm my mind, I run to find the deepest part of my spirit that I didn’t know existed. I run to find myself.
This week we are heading to my home town for a few days to spend the holiday with family and friends. We will be running our first 5K as a family of four on the 4th. I’m super excited and grateful that I get to run with my husband and kids. I look forward to sharing moments from that day.
I realized I’ve been slacking in strength training and core so I vow to be better this coming week. Also foam rolling is so crucial, and I have been rolling after every run.
